Enrichment

Young Artist & Mini Movers

Our Enrichment Program compliments our curriculum by exposing children to art library music and movement in weekly sessions. Elementary school enrichment teachers Angie Glenn and Brian Olson will lead our preschooler in these classes.

Young Artists

A special time as Mrs. Glenn gets them “in tune and in touch” once a week, with music, literature, and art.

Young Artist music enrichment is a time of singing, clapping, marching, dancing, instruments, and so much more to help them understand rhythm, timing and types of instruments.

Young Artist time also encourages children to use their imaginations and creativity through a variety of art medias as they explore various well-known artists and develop their own budding artistic skills.

Young Artists would not be complete without time spent in the library journeying through various genres from non-fiction to poetry. It is a wonderful time as the children spend engaged in storytelling, read alouds and other activities, all designed to develop and foster a love of reading and books.

Mini Movers

Mini Movers is on the GO! Mr. Olson has these preschoolers moving through various developmentally appropriate activities once a week. These structured activities help to promote gross motor development, listening skills and group participation, while developing basic large muscle movement, eye hand coordination and balance. Mini Movers are constantly in motion with climbers, parachutes, hula-hoops, over sized balls, and much, much more.
